Terms of registration (the particpants agrees to those terms upon signing the registration.

1. General rules of the race.
Fossavatnsgangan is a Popular Cross Country Competition and held by the Fossavatnsgangan, a voluntary associaton. We use the FIS (The International Ski Federation) rules and regulation and all participants with their registration confirm that they wil abide those rules and regulations. By sending Fossavatnsgangan a registration you certify that you´re both fit physically and mentally for the completion of the Fossavatnsgangan and you waive and release any rights and claims for damages you may have against Fossavatnsgangan, staff members, or any co-sponsors of the race for any injuries, illness or accident you suffer in or after the Fossavatnsgangan. You also agree to follow instructions by the staff. The registration in the Fossavatnsgangan is binding. No part of the registration fee will be refunded if a registered particpants cant take part due to various reasons such as illness and or injuries.
All participants take part on their own responsibility.

2. Refund
In the unlikely event of cancellation prior to the race day, the organziers can keep up to 50% of the entry fee, to cover expenses. If the race is relocated, but being held at the same date, or the race is cancelled on the original date and being moved to an alternative date, the participants is not eligible for a refund. By cancellation on the race day, due to bad weather or ´force majeure´the entry fee will not be refunded.
Travelling cost, accommodation or other similar expenses will not be refunded if the race is cancelled.

3. Photos and individual privacy
In all the races of Fossavatnsgangan there are photographers on the race area as in all the events of the race. Photos can be used for marketing purposes e.g.advertising and marketing campaigns. The media, journalists and others can also use those photos/videos. Upon signins up for the race the paricipants agrees that photos/videos aof them in the race can be used on our website and social media and on all events related to the race, an other media connected to the race organizers, e.g.magazines, newspapers and all kinds of publication and marketing materials even used by a third party according to agreements to the race and other rules and regulation.
The race organizer or a third party, according to agreement, can download photos of competitors on the internet in a form that allow the to be found according to their names. The media and journalists and others can also use photos and videos of the Fossavatnsganan.
Competitors who are opposed to any such use most notify the race office.
Upon registration the participants agrees that his name will be included among competitors, strarlists and results. These documents are made official and available online. The lists can show information about the age, and of club of the individual and also the results in the race.
Personal information are stored in the race databank according to individual privacy code.
